Welcome to the parish of Sacred Heart and St John Stone Roman Catholic Churches, Ainsdale & Woodvale, in the Southport Pastoral Area dedicated Our Lady of Walsingham in the Archdiocese of Liverpool.
Fr Tony Slingo served the parish from December 2015 to April 2023, after the Augustinian Fathers were either appointed to other Priories or retired. Fr Paul Seddon is now parish priest, based at St John Stone’s Presbytery, Woodvale.
We hope that your time with us, no matter how short, will allow us to show you the love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, that is present in our parish community. The church allows us some respite from our busy lives and whilst we are here there is an opportunity for reflective communion with God through our prayers and worship.
