Home visits cannot be made. Priests can offer phone support. Those at end of life can be anointed without physical contact, using a cotton bud for the Oil of the Sick that should be burned afterwards. NHS guidance on hospital visits for end of life visits will be observed.
Funeral services are restricted to graveside or crematorium. Masses in memorium can be arranged when congregations are allowed to gather again.
Catholics are dispensed from their obligation to attend Sunday Mass.
